WHOLE ANTARCTIC KRILL

New Life Spectrum® uses whole krill sustainably harvested off the coast of Antarctica — an area virtually free of environmental pollution. Krill are rich in protein, Omega-3 and vital amino acids like EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Krill is a natural source of Astaxanthin, which is a natural pigmentation known to encourage rich red coloration in fish and invertebrates. It’s also a natural preservative and antioxidant.

The oil from these tiny zooplankton is the source of high-quality krill-oil supplements for humans. Because it’s a high-quality marine protein (not terrestrial), krill is highly digestible for carnivores, omnivores — and even herbivores (who often consume invertebrates as part of grazing). This premium ingredient, used whole, is the most abundant ingredient in all non-herbivore New Life Spectrum® formulas* and contributes to it’s extraordinary quality.

We are proud that the krill harvested for New Life Spectrum® has been certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) — the world’s leading certification program for commercial fisheries and seafood.

*Krill is also included in substantial quantities in New Life Spectrum® AlgaeMAX herbivore diets for complete nutrition for grazers.
