New Life Spectrum® ingredients are rich in minerals from the variety of high-quality marine proteins, seaweeds and algaes included in the formula. Yet Spectrum also includes mineral supplements to ensure that your fish’s daily needs are met for a long, healthy life in your aquarium. The minerals included are iron, calcium, manganese and cobalt. These minerals, along with vitamins and trace elements, are in every container of every formula from New Life Spectrum®.

TRACE ELEMENTS

New Life Spectrum® ingredients include a majority from high-quality marine sources. Because of this, they naturally contain a number of trace elements from the aquatic environment that are part of your aquarium companions’ life processes. Trace elements are called this because they are necessary in extremely small amounts.

Often aquarium keepers dose water with trace elements to attempt to replicate this environment in which fish absorb the necessary micro amounts through their gills. While including trace elements in your aquarium water is recommended, New Life takes a different approach: by encouraging direct ingestion of these trace elements, we can be assured the fish receive what they need in proper doses and deliver it to the bloodstream. For this reason, all New Life Spectrum® formulas are enhanced with supplements of trace elements.
